Lost a tooth?
Save that knocked out tooth… don’t wash it! Suck it! And call us urgently on (07) 3397 1339. Time is critical for replanting – get to a dentist within 30 minutes if you can.
Broken a tooth?
Clean debris from the injured area with warm water. If caused by a blow, place a cold compress on the face next to the injured tooth to minimize swelling. Try to find all the bits that are missing and bring them to the dentist, keeping them moist. Sometimes broken bits can be bonded back onto the teeth almost invisibly. Go to the dentist as soon as practicable.
Toothache:
For some relief until you can see the dentist, clean the area as much as possible. If swelling is present, place a cold compress to the outside of the cheek (DO NOT HEAT). Take pain relief if necessary, using pain medicines that you know you are safe with. Call us on (07) 3397 1339.
